Family. How easily it can be torn apart. Especially in this time of danger and disaster. I was out looking for my cousins Bach and Mach. I was running on the rooftops doing jumps and vaults from roof top to roof top. I am Cage. I am a normal twenty-one year old guy. I stand 5' 11" and I am in my best shape at my age. I have red hair with black highlights in it. I was wearing a black t-shirt with the Sonic X logo. I also had black Nike shorts on to go with my Air Jordan's.

   "Come on Brother lets fight!" I heard come from above me when I saw a black shadow fly by me and the air that came after it was hard enough to knock me into a brick wall that was on the rooftop because it had a rooftop exit. I groaned in pain and held my eyes shut and when I opened them I saw two Lugias fighting.

   "Your not my brother! Not anymore!" the white one shouted as he let out an Aeroblast. And hit the Shadow Lugia that was flying above him. I got up and ran for it.

   "Oh come now Mach what happened to that brother that loved to be with me?" the Shadow Lugia asked and I looked at them with my eyes wide open.

   "It cant be!" I whispered starring at the two Lugias but I didn't stop running.

   "He was gone the moment you changed!" he shouted back as he rocketed at the Shadow Lugia and slammed into it full speed and he nailed him with a Screech at point blank range. I watched as my two cousins fought each other one blow right after the other. I could only watch as I dodged explosions from missed shots. It went on for hours I eventually wound up hiding behind a rooftop exit brick wall. I had rips in my clothing as well as cuts on my body. I looked out and saw them still fighting. I got up and walked out to see if I could talk them out of this fighting.

   "Mach! Bach! Stop this senseless fighting!!" I shouted at them. They both looked at me. Mach, the white Lugia, looked at me with wide eyes. Then I saw Bach looking at me with an evil grin on his face.

   "Cage!? Get out of here!" Mach shouted at me as Bach launched after me.

   "Crap!!" I shouted as I vaulted off the building just as he smashed into it.

   "Hold still. I don't want to hurt you." he said as he roared out of the rubble of the building he smashed into.

   "Cage! Go!! Run! I will hold him off long enough for you to get away!" Mach shouted as he let loose with a Hydro Pump. I started running away seeing Bach slam into Mach's chest.

   "Where do you think your going?!" I heard from behind me as I saw Bach's tail grab me. He started constricting me to the point it was becoming harder and harder to breath. Then Mach blasted his face with an Aeroblast.

   "Ugh!" I shouted as I landed on the roof top I was grabbed from. I took off and just as I was about to jump to the next building I heard a crashing sound. I turned my head and saw a purple tidal wave coming after me. Then I realized it was Bach using his Hydro Pump on Mach who was protecting me by taking it. Just as I made my leap of faith the wave crashed into the ledge and pushed me forward. I landed on my knees when I hit the next building. I groaned in pain as I stood up but fell right back onto my knees from some pain in my side. I put my hand where I felt the pain and it felt moist like water hit there and only there.

   "What the?!" I gasped as I quickly took off my shirt to see that my entire lower chest was covered in a light blue moist skin and it was spreading over my body. I watched as the skin slowly moved up my chest and down my legs. I felt my muscles and bones begin to burn like something was forcing them to change. I felt a tightness in my pants as my legs grew stronger and gained more muscle until I heard my pants get torn to ribbons. When I looked I saw I had paws and a tail. It had dark blue spikes running along the top of it and it had two fins at the end of it.

   I couldn't talk because of all the pain I was in all I could do is just let my jaw drop and hang there in shock of what was happening to me. I watched as the skin covered my arms and my hands changed just like my feet into paws. Once the skin covered every bit of my body below my neck I felt a bolt of electricity shoot up my spine as the dark blue spikes that were on my tail continued up my back.

   When the spikes were done the skin continued up my neck and I felt some sort of scales protrude from my neck in a circle and after I took a good look at the rest of my body. I realized I was turning into a Vaporeon! Then it sped up and the skin covered my face and I felt mouth and nose extend into a muzzle all the while my hair fell out and was replaced by three fin like protrusions.

   When it was over I collapsed onto my stomach and started breathing heavily as the burning sensations and pain all faded. Slowly but still fading. I tried to stand up but my legs felt wobbly I never imagined it would be so hard to stand up on all fours.

   "Oh no! Not you too!" I heard as I felt a blast of air hit me. I looked up and saw Mach hovering over the building just to fall on my stomach when he landed.

   "Hey watch it I'm not used to walking on all four yet!" I snapped at him as I got back up slowly.

   "Sorry. You ok?" he asked lowering his neck to look at me to check for any scratches and cuts.

   "Yeah I am fine. The pain is fading." I replied as I started to get used to standing and started walking around.

   "I'm so sorry Cage." he whispered as he looked away.

   "Mach don't start. This wasn't your fault I came looking for you and your brother. It was my choice and this is the effect I get for being a good friend and family member." I told him as I slapped him with my tail. His face now had a red mark in the shape of my fin tipped tail.

   "Ok. Hop on lets get out of here." he told me as he turned around and I jumped on his back.

   "Hey whatever happened to Bach?" I asked just moments after we took off into the air.

   "Gone. He ran away." he answered looking into the distance regretting all that happened.

   "Now what will we do?" I asked. But neither of us had that answer.
