Dragon Tf pt. 7

The dragon test


   I don't know what but I got a feeling Scorch is hiding some truth from me.

   "Come on Ronco we need to get back to the dragon temple." He shouted from a top a hill.

   "I'm… working… on it" I said as I was catching my breath walking up a hill on all fours is harder than it sounds. I eventually made it to the top of the hill and I would have passed out if it wasn't for the stunning view of an ancient temple but it had not been eroded away a single bit. And to top it off it was massive and I mean it was big enough to qualify as a city itself. "Whoa! Its huge." I said in amazement.

   "Enough site seeing we need to meet up with the elders." Scorch said while nodding me in the direction we need to go.

   "The elders? Who are they?" I asked. He told me that there was four elders each in their prime much like Shrag only they were embodiment of the good traits such as: Truth, honor, loyalty, and etc. Each had two elements they could use. One was named Flare and he had fire and wind. Another one was named Blazon he had ice and sound. The third one was called Shaz for his control over electricity and water. The last one I expected to be a rock head for his name was Fearer and named that for his control of earth and fear. He continued to tell me that they would test me and my abilities to see if I was some sort of special dragon like Scorch.

   Which he was still a little distant on that note. The entire time we were talking we were passing dragons left and right. I saw a female dragon that was all gold yellow no other colors at all. When she walked past me her eyes widened. And not only hers any dragons we passed looked at us normally until they saw me and then they looked like they were petrified with confusion. I could have swore some of them were thinking something happened involving Shrag cause a few dragons that had hatchlings kept them away from me in fear.

   I started to feel depressed again to think I might be a special dragon but not of good but fear. When Scorch saw me sank my head in the thought of it he knew what was going through my head.

   "Don't worry Ronco they will warm up to you eventually. In the mean time just keep your head up and remember why you are here." He told me which made me feel a little better. Then  we both heard a voice yell "SCORCH!" and for some reason Scorch froze up. He was as stiff as a board. Then out of nowhere a pink female dragon same size as Scorch and I leaped into him. Pushing him to the ground. Holding him down like a crazed celebrity fan would to give their idol a bunch of kisses. Yeah she had no spines on her back like Scorch and I had. But she did have a weird flame necklace the flame itself was a ruby and it gleamed red in the sunlight. I know this cause the whole time when she had Scorch on the ground I was getting blinded by bright red beam.

   "Oh Scorch! I was so worried about you! I thought just maybe we would never be together again." The dragon said as she was getting off Scorch. I couldn't help but laugh.

   "Scorch you never said anything about a girlfriend." I said mockingly.

   "Yeah I didn't cause she is not my girlfriend." He said sternly.

   "Oh Scorch. You cant keep resisting our love." She said as she looked at me and gave me the same widened eyes as the other dragons did. But instead of backing up she leaped at me like Scorch did before. And just like before I dodged every leap she tried. I didn't want to hit her for two reasons: One she was a girl. And two I hit her and I can kiss my chances of helping Frank and stopping Shrag goodbye. Then she started to wear herself out. " Who are you and why are you with my Scorch!?" She shouted.

   "Man this is déjà vu  all over again. I am Ronco." I told her. Then she tried another leap but Scorch stopped her.

   "Scorch let me go he is with Shrag." She said giving me that "I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" look.

   "No he isn't. He is on our side." He told her.

   "What!? You actually believe him!" She yelled trying to keep her voice down but I could still hear her every word.

   "Ronco this is Aria." Scorch told me.

   "Nice to meet you." I greeted her.

   "Whatever." She said as she walked over beside me and whispered in my ear," You even dare hurt Scorch and I will hurt you worst than he gets hurt." Then she walked off.

   "Sheesh not very pleasant is she." I said looking at Scorch.

   "Hey at least she is not obsessing over you and love." Scorch replied.

   "Still your lucky at least you got someone that loves you I don't have anyone I know of." I replied lowering my head in depression.

   "Oh sorry man I didn't know." He apologized.

   "Its ok man lets keep moving." I said starting to walk. We walked for what seemed like hours until we reached a set of double doors.

   "Here we are your going to have to go in alone." He told me.

   "What are you going to do in the meantime?" I questioned.

   "I'm going to try to talk some sense into Aria. Try to warm here up to you." He told me.

   "Good luck with that." I replied as the doors opened. I slowly walked in it was a big room with a circle of at least a hundred torches circling upwards like a snake. At the end of the room was a circle of four dragons all sitting side by side. They all were the same size and figure as Shrag just all different colors like I just walked into the living rainbow room. On my far right from the colors I guessed it was Flare. He was the only Orange and white dragon his top scales were orange while his under ones were white. Same color format as me while my top scales were purple and my dragon wing bone were purple everything else was silver. Same for every other dragon except a few who were all one color. Next to Flare was a dragon that was an ice blue dragon with gray under scales I guess he was Blazon. The one on my far left was a dragon of the Christmas colors green top and red under so I took it he was the rock head of the group Fearer. In the middle between Blazon and Fearer was Shaz. He was the obvious one he was yellow on top and a ocean blue under.

   "So you're the one who escaped from Shrag." Fearer said with a hint of surprise.

   "Yes. My name is Ronco. I escaped Shrag with no followers of him and no loyalty to him." I told him it was odd for me cause with me I was the only dragon that had a Chinese symbol as a part of his skin and it was pretty much broadcasted since it was dead center on my chest. The thing that made it feel even weirder is it was the symbol for fire. Fearer started to laugh in the thought of a dragon my size escaping from Shrag.

   "That's enough Fearer. This is a serious matter. Not only did he escape from Shrag he also fought Scorch and won but didn't kill him." Interrupted Blazon.

   "And to top it off used the famous fire typhoon to kill a total of ten Shadow Claws." added Flare. OK how they knew all that I didn't know.

   "How did you…?" I started.

   "We have scouts out all over the plains and they report any findings immediately to us." answered Flare. The strange thing  is I think Flare saw something in me I didn't even know about. " Now Scorch brought you here so you may be tested to see if you have a certain quality." Flare continued.

   "And when might these tests start?" I asked suspiciously.

   "NOW!" they all said as they all got up and did like Scorch and got ready to fight

   "OH CRAP!" I yelled at the sight of them…
